Women in Coffee Entrepreneurs Microfinance Fund

GTM’s “Women in Coffee Entrepreneurs Microfinance Fund” provides funds to establish microfinance for small scale coffee women entrepreneurs in production countries like Guatemala, Ethiopia, El Salvador, etc. Using a copyrighted “Learning Loan Microfinance Manual” the fund supports training in business literacy and teaches women who may have never had a loan in their name secure and manage a loan.

With initial support from a few individuals and businesses, we are aiming to reach our goal of $250,000 by end of April 2025. Partnering with the “International Women in Coffee Alliance” (IWCA), GTM will provide the funds to IWCA Chapters to set up and manage a revolving microfinance loan. Coffee is important to these communities for many reasons. It provides livelihoods as well as establishing agroforest systems that release atmospheric O2, sink carbon, and provide wildlife habitat.
